Tasting Notes

Cima at first pour brings forth a creamy nose of black cherry pie, violets, and sassafras with a note of vanilla that evolves into classic Sangiovese sour cherry, sandalwood, suede, and cocoa powder. Its beautifully focused acidity and supple tannins deliver an exquisite fruit nucleus of tart dark cherry, plum, wild blackberry, black currant and roasted fig surrounded by layers of wet cedar, chocolate mousse and soft leather with a hint of sweet tobacco. This will certainly become a Reininger classic. -Chuck Reininger,  Winemaker
