Join us in our Tasting Room!
Genuine. Relaxed. A whole lot of fun. These are comments you’ll hear again and again from Reininger Winery tasting room visitors. You’ll also hear words like warm and gracious tossed around. Because … well because … that’s just what this winery is. It starts when you walk up the path and continues as you pull open the handsome front door. You’ll hear laughter – both from the staff and the visitors – and we hope you’ll think: “Okay, this is a tasting room I’m going to really like.” Welcome to Reininger Winery, one of the small group of original wineries in the Walla Walla Valley.
We are a hardworking group, and you’ll often find a Reininger or Tucker family member out in the tasting room working right alongside our friendly staff. You will feel as if you’re long-lost friends. And as you work your way through our current flight of award-winning wines, we’ll do our very best to make your wine tasting in-depth, educational, and unhurried. You’ll most often find tasting-room favorites like the Reininger Carmenere, along with rich and lovely Cabs, Merlots and Syrahs. Maybe we’ll pour a Cima or a Malbec. On the Helix side, everyone’s favorites include the exotic Stone Tree SoRho and a beautiful, pear and honey-inspired Viognier.
Are you a novice wine taster? Spend time with us to learn more about specific grape varietals, or conversely, to learn more about blends. Are you an experienced wine taster? Taste our Reininger and Helix brands side by side to enhance your knowledge of terroir and the many Washington appellations.
In search of “authenticity”? Soak in our spacious and light-filled tasting room featuring beautifully reclaimed fir floors, and a vine-woven
tasting bar topped with locally sourced basalt. Extensive wood cabinetry, large windows with views, contemporary furnishings and artwork – all combine to reflect our agricultural heritage, artisanship and sense of place.
Wine is wonderful on its own, but it becomes magical when paired with really great food. This brings us to the newest kid on the Reininger block – our Flat Bread. Served in the tasting room from 11 to 3, these hot and yummy wonders are made with wine-parings in mind. Grab a napkin and tuck in, folks. This is the way wine was meant to be enjoyed!
You’ll fall in love with the people, the wine and the flat bread. We hope you feel like part of our extended family. Before you leave, consider joining our wine club. Why? You’ll gain access to our wine club events and limited production wines. Moreover, it’s been very popular, and spots on our wine club list are not always available. The only way you can sign up for the Wine Club these days is to actually visit the tasting room. In essence, there’s no room at the Inn, unless you’re standing in the Inn. So before you leave with your Reininger and Helix acquisitions carefully packed up and ready for you to share with friends and family, and your palate is happy from the wine and flat-bread pairings, be sure to sign up for the Wine Club.

Wine Trails NW says of our Tasting Room, “The Reiningers’ tastingroom is more of a tasting pavilion, featuring a fusion of basalt harvested from the Snake River in northern Walla Walla County; reclaimed potato-shed wood; zinc-covered countertops, and finely crafted cabinetry. One particularly aesthetic touch are the vines intertwined around the perimeter of the tasting bar. This is a grand tasting room that invites all who trek here to linger longer and enjoy the stellar line-up of wines.”
