Welcome to the REININGER Blog

Welcome to the Reininger Winery blog! Here you will find utterly scintillating and exclusive discussions, updates, and information about your favorite wines from one of your favorite Walla Walla Valley wineries. We are here to give you an inside look at how our winery operates, our future goals, and stay connected with our loyal fans and club members.

Our contributing writers will include Abbie Clark, our Marketing & Event Manager; Ann Tucker, Owner & Marketing Director; occasionally blogs from our Walla Walla & Spokane Tasting Room Managers/Associates; and last but certainly not least, Chuck Reininger, Owner and distinguished winemaker.

If you are not familiar with Reininger Winery and happened to stumble across our blog, here is a brief overview of the fantastic winery that we call home! Founded by Chuck and Tracy Reininger, Reininger Winery opened in 1997 as the tenth bonded winery in the Walla Walla Valley. In 2003, Tracy's parents and brothers partnered with the company to expand the winery. At the same time, the family founded a Columbia Valley label, Helix. In 2013 we launched our third brand, CPR, short for Charles Phillip Reininger. We like to refer to CPR as our "No Boundaries Collection," as it is uninhibited by AVA like the REININGER and Helix brands. Instead, it is devoted to our special projects.

Today Reininger Winery is located in two refurbished potato sheds at 5858 Old Hwy 12 in Walla Walla, and our Tasting Room is open daily. We also have a Helix tasting room in downtown Spokane located across the street from the historic Davenport Hotel, located at 824 W. Sprague Ave.

We are known for several varietals, most notably Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere. Chuck personally crafts ALL of our wines, which include some lovely blends: the ever-popular Cima (“chee-ma”), a blend of Sangiovese and other Bordeaux varietals; plus the “goes-with-everything”, delicious, and everyday affordable Helix Pomatia (Bordeaux-Syrah blend).

We would love to hear from you! Please feel free to leave comments to further our discussions, give us feedback, or to share any great ideas you may have for us of stuff you would like to see. You can always leave comments below or email them to abbie@reiningerwinery.com or call 509.522.1994. Thanks for visiting and we hope you subscribe so you can keep up with us on our blogging adventures!
