Since 2010, we’ve been producing Sémillon from Birch Creek Vineyard in Walla Walla, one of the oldest vineyards dating back to 1997. The warmer temperatures at Birch Creek Vineyard allows the Semillon to ripen sooner here compared to other Walla Walla vineyards. Typically bottled as a single varietal and always aged in stainless steel, our sémillon has always been a summer favorite.

"2016’s heat presented us with a full-bodied Semillon in need of acid. The answer to this balance conundrum was the blending of 15% Sauvignon Blanc, a blend similar with white Bordeaux. Aromas of lemon, slightly baked green apples, saffron, straw and raw soaked honeycomb fill the glass. The wine has a moderate unctuous mouth feel complementing its weight and acidity. The palate displays mango, lemon with lemongrass, a hint of pear and midway begins to finish with straw and bees wax with a touch of honey. Gorgeous minerality courses through its profile start to finish. Enjoy this on your sail boat with your freshly caught San Juan Dungeness crab or scallops. Halibut and lobster are most excellent as well." ~Chuck Reininger, Winemaker
