2017 began with cool temperatures followed by a warm hot summer, which together produced small clusters, small berries and moderate yields. Like spring, September rolled in with cool temperatures as well allowing extended hang time favoring our Cabernet Sauvignon.
Intense scents of dried-dark fruit macerated black cherries, black currant and plum, with wisps of baked dates and a judicious touch of oak grace the glass. Its opulent texture unveils luscious swarthy fruit floating on velvety tannins. Elegant Asian-spice oak waltzes in perfect harmony, start to finish, with the sumptuous fruit that echoes the nose while being teased with a hint of baked black licorice.
