CPR RED WINE, Fourth Edition

CPR RED WINE, Fourth Edition

di·verse adj. composed of distinct or unlike elements or qualities

CPR IV is as diverse as its elements: 8 grape varieties from 11 vintages. The wine is informally inspired by the Solera blending tradition, where each year we bottle nearly 20% of the blend which we then replace with a subsequent vintage to create the following year’s wine thus creating a “perpetual wine.” For the fourth edition of the CPR non vintage red blend, Chuck Reininger introduced Carmenere, Malbec and Petit Verdot from the 2014 and 2015 vintages.

Tasting Note

"Age is an attitude! This stylish, gentle and sophisticated marriage of wine enjoys a splash of youthfulness. One can be captivated by its alluring fragrance of exotic flowers and spice for an extended period before indulging in its elegant palate.

"Scents of bold, dark fruit quickly surrender to floral expressions of orchid, violets and ripped rose petals blended with cardamom, vanilla bean and sweet cigar box, all wrapped in cherry. Soft tannins compliment its sensual texture while bright acidity accentuates its black fruit character of plum, cherry, mulberry and currant with a dash of pepper, vanilla and sweet-caramelized oak toast. For treasured moments with cherished people." -Chuck Reininger, Winemaker
